You know how it is. You want to be inspirational to others. You want to be inspired yourself. You go to all the usual wells in hope of quenching the designing thirst. There are always the sure fire sources of inspiration; Pinterest, favorite magazines, fellow bloggers, even your favorite home decor store. You try... really you do, and you know that if you can't be motivated by the wealth of inspiration a fore mentioned...well it's just not your day to design.

It's like being a writer, which I've also been known to give a go, and just not having one thought worth writing down. It's like being an orator, and not having an interesting word to say. And what do you say when you don't know what to say? You know what people say when they run out of things to say or don't quite know how to respond. Ellen says it all the time. "Anyway...." It's just a word to fill the space where silence would be. It has definitely been an "Anyway..." day.

But in my frustration of having an "Anyway" kind of day, I remembered an Anyway that is far from being a place filler.

Found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children.

People are often unreasonable, irrational and self centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

I'm feeling inspired now. I hope you are too.
Melinda
