With A Song In My Heart

I've been transforming a dress form of my daughter's today. Her bedroom is pink and black and she wanted a new look for the dress form for Valentine's Day but something that would be fine to stay out throughout the year. It really was pretty the way it was, but sometimes a girl needs a change.

 The beginning of the transformation.

I printed off vintage music that had been washed in pink. Although it is not apparent in these pictures several of the pieces of paper were cut in heart shapes. The pieces were modge podged onto the top of the dress form.

Here is the finished "With a Song in My Heart" dress form.

The white tutu was part of Haylee's angel costume from Halloween. Black and pink ribbon were added as a choker and to the waist of the tutu.

Pink ribbon was tied in a bow around a pink glittered heart ornament and then attached to the side of the waist. ( Before black ribbon tacked down with hot glue....obviously.)

I think this will bring a little more color and interest to her room.

I have a few other ideas and items that I'm working on to add to her room.  Along with the dress form with heart, I think they will make for a nice Valentine's Day vignette.
