Feeling Blue in the Dining Room

I have been wanting to repaint our dining room for some time. I'm not quite ready for the big reveal but thought I'd show a  picture so you can see what I've been working on.

This is the turquoise color that our walls have been for the last 4 years.  It can look really dark as the sun goes down and has been a challenge to decorate around.

So here is a tiny glimpse at what I've been up to:

I spent the day yesterday painting the walls powder blue and framing fabric.  This bosporus flax fabric was found online after purchasing curtain panels out of the same fabric for the great room.  I had these gold frames and decided to frame a portion of the fabric for a wall above the buffet in the dining room.  Even though I still need to touch up some of the trim work around the windows,  I decided to get these up on the wall to see how they looked.

Hope everyone has a refreshing Sunday!

I'm linking up with The Dedicated House.
